The Browning Hell's Canyon Gun Safe Series received the UL Residential Security Container Burglary Rating due to its heavy duty construction and security features. The door on this safe is built with 1 ¼" thick formed door with an inner steel plate. The body of the safe is constructed with thick 11 gauge steel.
The HC33 Hell's Canyon Gun Safe comes with a full 110 minute fire rating that was tested at 1200 degrees Fahrenheit (90 min fire rating at 1680º F). The safe comes with specialty Thermablock fire insulation, which means there are thicker sheets of fire insulation arranged in an interlocking design that minimizes gaps to prevent the internal safe temperature from rising during a fire. This model safe has 1 ⅞" of fire insulation in the ceiling, 1 ⅞" in the body and 1 ⅞" in the door.
Securing the door shut are 9 total (5 active) 3"x3/4" thick steel MAX locking bolts. These bolts use a 3-way locking system, meaning they lock into the top and both sides of the safe. There are also Pry-Stop End Bolts, which secure the critical door corners. These End Bolts are more than 2 ½ times longer than regular bolts, they attach to a high-strength steel angle that prevents the locking bolts support bar from bending in a pry attack
Standard on the Hell's Canyon HC33 gun safe is a UL Listed S&G Mechanical Dial Lock. The S&G TopLit Electronic Lock is also available. Either lock installed is protected by a hardened steel pin. Another layer of security, is the Force Deflector™ locking system in the case of an attempted break in.
A very unique feature that sets the Browning gun safes apart from any other safe is its interior. The door comes with the Browning DPX Door Storage System, including a Premium Full DPX Door Panel. On this DPX door panel is the Quick Access Barrel Rack, Scope Saver, pistol holsters and storage pockets.
Besides the Premium Door Panel, the patented AXIS adjustable silicone-lined (to protect your firearms) shelving is another unique feature that Browning adds to the Hell's Canyon safes. This particular size comes with 4 total AXIS adjustable shelves, 2 high capacity barrel racks & 1 pistol rack. Browning AXIS interior system allows you to purchase additional interior accessories that can be added into the Hell's Canyon Gun Safes interior to best fit your needs.
The Browning HC Hell's Canyon series is available in multiple different color options - Textured Putty, Textured Charcoal and Black Gloss finishes. The safe comes with a 3-Spoke Black Chrome Handle. The interior comes with anelectrical power outlet and LED light package. The heavy duty hinges allow you to open the door of the safe a complete 180 degrees. The interior comes with an elevated floor to prevent your guns from getting bumped on the bottom door lining will pulling them out of your safe.
