The safe came with a damaged corner in shipping but Dean Safe was quick to schedule a replacement. Very quick and courteous customer service. I love the safe and it's perfect for what I needed. I would highly recommend Dean Safe.

I contacted Am Security about the glitch in opening the safe. I was instructed to "turn the knob all the way left hard, counterclockwise, just before punching in your code. This will trick the sensor that the safe is locked". So I tried it, and yes, if you do this just before you punch your code, you'll hear the latch disengage and you will open the safe on the first try. So be aware of this. I'm looking for felt or some kind of lining for the drawer.

I agree w/ the other reviewer. The front door panel and drawer assembly is a little flimsy, cheap looking. Has visible screws and nuts all over the place. The locking mechanism is light. On my safe the electronic entry is kinda fickle, sometimes I have to repeat it couple times to enter. This item and the only other alternative Snap Safe seem overpriced for what you get. But to keep the children out, it will do. The consumer has little alternative. Also, check the interior dimensions for your shotgun. The Snap Safe XL is comparable.

Fits well under my bed. Hope it will fit my M4 benelli, Ambi beast AR-15, and 8" Anaconda...just as the picture suggests.....waiting on the later two.

The safe itself has a nice size shelf that pulls out from under the bed, it can fit a shotgun, pistol, plenty of magazines and ammo. Fairly easy to open, has lighted keypad as soon as you hit the first button. It isn't the sturdiest safe but it definitely won't allow kids into your guns
