Dormitory Safes - Student protection for on campus or off-campus housing.

If you have a son or daughter leaving for school, you may want to take a look at our new dormitory safe. This safe will ease your mind about anyone stealing any of your child's possessions. It is a great safe for dormitory living or off campus housing. The safe attaches to a plate that can be bolted down to the floor to securely hold the safe and all items within it, in place. It has a full length hinge that helps protect contents from theft. Please note: it is not a fire resistant safe.

Its vertical orientation allows for better use of the keypad at the top of the safe. It will easily hold up to an 18-inch laptop vertically and has a hole at the bottom back of the safe which allows a surge protector to be placed inside the safe for the student to charge any electrical items while placed in the safe. The side shelves allow for additional storage of passports, Ipods, Mp3 players, cameras, watches, jewelry and prescription drugs.

The state-of-the-art electronic lock allows the user to change the combination at a moment's notice, and the user can use any card with a magnetic strip to open the safe (a driver's license, credit card or student I.D. will work just fine). This safe is proactive in reducing roommate conflicts and providing "peace of mind" to parents and students alike.

The electronic lock is powered by a 9V alkaline battery and when the battery becomes low, it signals the user to let them know it has to be changed. The battery is easily accessed at the bottom of the lock on the outside of the safe.
