Defender Series, Ft Knox Gun Safes, offers economical, high quality security for your valuables and guns

The Defender Series offer many of the same security features without the cosmetic frills at an economical cost. The durable textured finish offers protection against nicks, dings, and scratches, yet looks good.

These Fort Knox Gun Safes have been tested by Underwriters Laboratories and have been granted a Residential Security Container (RSC)  rating. They have been independently tested an carry a certification for 50 minute fire protection at temperatures up to 1450° F. You can add the optional reinforced fire door to bring the fire certification up to 90 minute fire protection at temperatures of up to 1680° F.

• The 1/4" thick steel door and the many lock features on these safes, including the Sargent and Greenleaf Group II manipulation resistant lock, the clutch drive handle and the FOIL™ mechanical back-up re-locking device, offer a tough barrier against burglary.
• The Uni-body construction of the Defender Series gives you a 1-1/2" total body thickness.
• The interior is fully lined, including the back panel on the door, with a durable carpet which is velcro friendly. This allows you to apply velcro holsters directly to the walls and doors to hold your handguns.
• On the Defender Series of these Ft Knox Gun Safes, the dead bolts, (bolts that do not move) have been replaced with active bolts that actually retract into the door to allow it open. These active bolts are located on both sides and the top and the bottom of the door. There are up to thirteen one and one half inch diameter locking bolts on each safe.
• You can add the following options to the safe:
• An high security electronic pushbutton lock. This allows quick opening and the convenience of changing the combination on your safe at a moments notice.
• Fluorescent light package which lights the interior of the safe when you open the door
• A pistol door rack or holsters which allow you to hang your handguns or jewelry on the inside of the door or on the walls of the safe.
• A reinforced fire door which raises the fire rating on the safe from fifty minutes of fire protection at 1450° F to ninty minutes of fire protection at 1680° F.
